Thai Cooking Classes in Mumbai

Thai cooking has dishes with a lot of strong aromatic components. Thai food is all about creating a balance amongst 4 distinct flavours – sour, sweet, salty and bitter. Coconut, peanuts, coriander, basil, garlic, lemon grass, galangal, kaffir lime, chillis, etc. are used a lot in Thai food.

In my, Thai cooking classes, I teach the curry pastes from scratch – the Red and Green Curry pastes. We prepare a very authentic dish from the green curry paste – Rice with green curry paste and Basil. A creamy curry is prepared with the Red curry paste. Satay with paneer or chicken, Tom yum soup, Tom Kha soup, Pad Thai, etc are some of the dishes covered in the Thai menu. I avoid using Fish sauce when conducting the class for vegetarians, but I do try keep the Thai flavours intact by giving them the veg alternative.
